Most lead-generation sites track something — but not always the right thing, and rarely consistently. Here is a practical checklist.

Foundations

  • One GA4 property, installed once (directly, via Site Kit or via Tag Manager — not all three).
  • Internal traffic filtered out.
  • Consent Mode configured with your cookie banner.

Key events

  • Form submissions (only on success, not on button click).
  • WhatsApp and phone clicks.
  • Booking confirmations.

Connect to outcomes

Link Google Ads, import offline conversions from your CRM where possible, and review which sources produce qualified leads — not just form fills.

Report simply

Build one dashboard with the few numbers that drive decisions: leads by source, cost per lead, qualified rate and revenue.
